Three coastal homes blur the line between interior rooms and the shoreline.
Located in the sleepy fishing town of North Side, these houses are designed for beach living. Each takes advantage of sea views and sea breezes, with windows that frame the perfect seascapes. Large expanses of operable glazing—especially on the ground floor—blur the boundary between inside and outside, promoting seamless living between both. Cool tones and a sandy interior palette take reference from the coastline: relaxed and eclectic, while avoiding the cliché of beach chic.
Design approach
Each four-bedroom house uses a compact plan and carefully positioned openings to give everyday rooms a direct relationship to the sea.
